Why did you decide to study abroad?
I believe that whether it’s in work, study or play, you’ll be able to use your new global mind-set to back up arguments, inform your beliefs and steer your future. This is one of the reasons why I decided to study abroad. Also, It’s easy to accept my culture as absolute, but living in another country can help inform my point of view on my home culture, allowing me to develop my views rather than simply accepting those defined by my home country. I have always been and will always be proud of where I come from. Furthermore, the approach to education in different countries and also the urge to learn and speak in different languages (other than English, of course) really amazes me and also contributes to why i decided to study abroad. Finally, one of the ultimate reasons to study abroad is to gain life experience and to also speed up the transitioning into adulthood.
What made you decide on this university?
Everybody is entitled to different points of views. Well, so am I. First and foremost, I chose to study in Medical University of Gdansk because it is the largest medical academic institution in northern Poland and also one of the best universities in Poland. Who wouldn’t want that? Well, definitely not me! 🙂 The university also welcomes students from near and far (i.e Polish students and international students). Before deciding and settling on this particular university, I had done thorough research and I found many reasons to study at the Medical university of Gdansk. Among these reasons are: their courses are taught in English for international students (and even students from Poland who wish to study in English), lecturers/professors are the very best and are easily understood, and the ratio of lecturer/professor to each class is very convenient. Last but not the least: the location of this university is great.
How is your experience of studying abroad?
Studying abroad is definitely a great experience. Throughout your course, you get to meet people from different backgrounds.
Finding myself in a completely new environment has helped me to better know my strengths and weaknesses. Getting to learn a new language is a wonderful and fascinating experience. Overall, studying abroad is a wonderful and great experience and I will encourage most students to make such choices more often.
Why do you think others should not miss out on studying at your university
There are a lot of universities in the world now, and most of them are just around for “business” – i.e. to make money out of students, especially international students. It takes a lot of research to know if everything a university website says about it is true or false. Medical University of Gdansk is an exception to this. Every information given on their website is very accurate. The academic standard of my university is the very best. Also, it is located in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe with an old town and beautiful sandy beaches. With a serene environment, welcoming atmosphere and outstanding students/professors, why would you want to miss out on studying in the Medical University of Gdansk?
