Why did you decide to study abroad?
“Experience is the best teacher”. Since my birth, I have been brought up in the light of this idiom. This motto or I should say my ‘motivation’ is the reason why I could sustain all the difficulties, which hindered my path. My enthusiasm for yet new experience encouraged me to live away from my family and motherland, so I took a daring step and reached abroad. Now, I get to broaden my horizons almost on daily basis, while pursuing my studies at my dreamt institution.
What made you decide on this university?
I have chosen to seek my education at University of Glasgow (UofG) because I believe that UofG provides excellent quality of education along with exceptional research facilities and opportunities. It is consistently being rated amongst the best in terms of career prospects.
Furthermore, the unique geographical location of UK enables it to be at the heart of business, diplomatic and strategic developments. It provides a truly diverse learning experience with opportunities to learn about various cultures.
How is your experience of studying abroad?
I am enjoying my experience to the brim. I not just only got to meet new people, but I have learned so much from them, and I am grateful for that. Going abroad for pursuing my childhood dream had been a marvelous journey for me so far. I am so glad that I took that bold step and went abroad.
Right now, I am representing school of Mathematics and Statistics at my university, and that is something I could have ever dreamt of. Besides that, every aspect of studying abroad has been perfect for me, may it be an educational one or a cultural one. There is only one word that comes to my mind, when somebody asks me about my experience abroad, and that is “AWESOME!”.
Why do you think others should not miss out on studying at your university
Whenever I was stuck in the pit of failure, that was the time when I appended something new into my experience. Yes! That experience made me to climb up the ladder of success. Keeping that in mind, I think everyone should give a go for studying abroad (or something new, which they have not tried in a while), because that invaluable experience will lead them to a successful and joyous life.
There is a good chance that they will struggle at the start of the university, but the experience they will gain from not just my university, but from any other institution is totally worth it. They will get to learn so much from being abroad; for instance, they will gain the power of making correct and efficient decisions, so this will definitely help them in their growth. Their views will be broadened, and they will be able to think out of the box. They will also be able to realize the value of teamwork by working with a group of multifarious people at the university. All of these things will help them in becoming a more established person from who they will be today.
