Why did you decide to study abroad?
I believe studying abroad and choosing high ranked University in the world contribute to one’s personal development. My intentions were to refine my analytical skills, improving my understanding of the development process, sharpening my communication skills especially in cross cultural communication and enable myself to produce strategies, policies and plans for improvement of the lives of my people. I will develop an excellent repertoire of skills and competencies relevant to the responsibilities in the development sector by combining a very good qualification with extensive experience in the field. It will certainly lead to major upward mobility in my career since foreign Universities graduates are very much sought after in the development sector all over the world because of their international exposure, analytical ability and effective written and spoken communication skills.
What made you decide on this university?
Regarded as one of the most prestigious universities in Germany, a highly diverse and home to about 26,000 students, 11 percent of them are international. A research-led university, Gottingen has associations with over 40 Nobel Prize winners. In particular Master’s program in Development Economics from Georg-August-University Gottingen will provide me an opportunity to build my experience with academic training in the development field. Because of its interdisciplinary nature, Master’s in Development Economics program will be helpful to me because I think it will enhance and enable my skills more proficient to work in rural development cuts across several disciplines such as economics, political science, environmental politics, sociology, finance and management.
How is your experience of studying abroad?
A very wonderful and pleasant experience I have had so far with exceptional of beginning few months away from home, sudden change in social circle, academic pattern and environment that demands time in adjusting to .But now Gottingen is a second home, as this small university town itself a hub of culture, hosting many events and festivals throughout the year. Academically I
have equipped myself well enough with the necessary analytical techniques and tools and to critically evaluate information. I am now familiar with the emerging trends in development thinking this is because of the decision I have taken to be a part of best foreign university.
Why do you think others should not miss out on studying at your university
International students in Gottingen come from a total of 140 different countries; it’s so highly diverse in nature and ranked one of the best in the world. Accommodation Service and Buddy Programmes are available, where German and other international students mentor and support their international counterparts. International student should keep in mind their finances, Gottingen university charge very low tuition fee and living expenses are also reasonable. So I would say it’s Heaven for those searching for quality education.
